The Jefferson Council and UVA Center for Politics proudly hosted George Will at the University of Virginia for an evening of discussion on the bad ideas fueling today’s best idea: free speech.

About the Speaker

George Will received the Pulitzer Prize for commentary in 1977 and continues as a columnist on politics and domestic and foreign affairs for the Washington Post. He is also a regular contributor to MSNBC and NBC News. His latest book, American Happiness and Discontents was released in September 2021. Will grew up in Champaign, IL, attended Trinity College and Oxford University, and received a PhD from Princeton University.
